R+Color professional haircare products are now available to salons and stylists.

R+Color—R+Co’s professional hair color range—expanded its distribution nationwide into SalonCentric and StateǀRDA stores. The collection can also be found at SalonCentric.com.
Per the Happi Top 50 company, the state-of-the-art range focuses on high performance, stylist wellness and environmental sustainability. R+Color is a 100% vegan, cruelty-free and Leaping Bunny certified, fragrance-free as well as free of gluten, PPD, resorcinol, formaldehyde, parabens and silicones.
The partnership with SalonCentric allows R+Co to broaden its support for the hair colorist community with service and access, said the brand. SalonCentric will carry the complete R+Color portfolio, along with color care from the core R+Co range.
“We are so excited about partnering with SalonCentric. It lets us provide our salon partners with an exceptional experience and easy, fast access to the products they need. As someone who grew up in a salon…I know better than anyone the cost of running out of color,” said Tev Finger, CEO of Luxury Brand Partners, the owner of the brand.
Created by L’Oréal USA in 2008, SalonCentric has 400 sales consultants and numerous stores in the US.
“When we started developing the line we met with hundreds of hair colorists and asked them what their dream hair color line would be. Many of those requests are embedded in R+Color’s DNA like bond builders, fragrance-free formulas, 100% sustainable packaging and ammonia-free lighteners. It was also critical for their dream line to have convenient, easy access which is tremendously enhanced by the SalonCentric store network – a best-in-class color destination for salons everywhere,” said Elisa Fischer, SVP of R+Color.
The R+Color collection includes permanent, liquid and crème demi-permanent and semi-permanent shades in unique tonal families built for customizable results. Lightener is offered in clay, powder, ammonia-free powder, and crème formulas. Five SKUs of liqui-crème developer join the range to round out the color category. Ancillary products like pre- and post-color treatments, stain barrier crème and biodegradable stain remover wipes bring the total SKUs to over 150.
“R+Co was built upon a collective approach to products and education. By bringing together the best stylists in the industry we could debate and innovate based on multiple vs. singular perspectives. That was a critical component of R+Color – we wanted the colorist known for blondes to influence those shades, and the expert in reds to shape that collection and the go-to-stylists for brunettes to opine on the browns,” said Dan Langer, president of R+Co.
R+Color is also committed to sustainability, added Langer. It is said to be the first hair color brand to launch demi-permanent liquid using 100% recycled aluminum bottles. The pre- and post-color products are packaged using 50% to 100% PCR materials; and, cartons are sustainability sourced and made from 100% PCR paper, certified by the FSC.
